Traction Ecosystem
Kimley-Horn’s cloud-based traffic ecosystem contains a variety of centralized modules that interface with field devices and with other Traction modules to give agencies the ability to better monitor, control, and maintain their traffic infrastructure. The Traction Smart Cities Ecosystem provides ATSPM, connected vehicle, and centralized priority functionality along with many other useful integrations with the KITS ATMS, Kadence ATCS, and other data sources.
Dallas Freight Priority Project
This marquee project involves Kimley-Horn providing priority for freight vehicles in North Central Texas using a similar methodology to centralized transit signal priority. Traction Priority will be implemented to provide priority for thousands of vehicles belonging to multiple different freight companies across 10 different jurisdictions within North Central Texas. An innovative KPI dashboard is also being developed for this project allowing project stakeholders to analyze performance of the system and determine cost and fuel savings due to signal priority.
KITS/Kadence
Kimley-Horn’s KITS Advanced Traffic Management System and Kadence Adaptive Traffic Control Solution continue to evolve as useful new features and functionality are added to Kimley-Horn’s ATMS/ATCS platform. An overview of recent KITS and Kadence enhancements will be provided in addition to comprehensive training sessions for each solution.
